Dragon Tail black tea, or Rong Cha (Rồng Trà), is a unique Vietnamese variety grown in the highlands of northern Vietnam. The name "Dragon Tail" comes from the shape of the twisted tea leaves, which resemble the mythical dragon's tail - a symbol of strength and vitality in Asian culture.
The taste is deep, with notes of spices, caramel and light smokiness. The aroma is rich, warm, with woody nuances. The infusion is dark amber in color.
The origin and uniqueness of Rong-cha
The production region is the mountainous areas of Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces, where wild or semi-wild large-leaf tea trees (Camellia sinensis var. assamica) grow. Hand-picking, gentle rolling and traditional fermentation create a deep character and rich flavor profile for this tea.
