Shen Puer “Lao Bang Zhang” (老班章), 357 g — a seasoned emperor among the Shens
The 2008 vintage “Lao Bang Zhang” (老班章) Shen Pu’er is a 357g collector’s pancake made from raw materials from the legendary village of Lao Bang Zhang (Yunnan Province). This terroir is renowned for its high concentration of polyphenols, unique balance of bitterness and sweetness, and powerful “chacai” – the inner energy of the infusion.
After over 15 years of natural aging, this Shen Pu'er has acquired a rounded, soft, honey-earthy taste. The infusion is deep amber, shiny. The aroma is multifaceted, with notes of old wood, camphor, malt and dried fruits. The aftertaste is long, warm, slightly tart, with a stony tinge.
