Shen Pu-erh "Yi Dao" (易岛) is a 357g pancake-sized green pu-erh created in 2012 by Yi Heng Xiang Tea Industry (易恒祥茶业). The name of the tea translates as "Way of Yi" or "Island of Yi" - symbolizing inner peace, endurance and the path to the essence of tea drinking.
This Pu-erh is made from old mountain leaves from the Menghai region. Aged for over 12 years, the tea has developed a depth, smoothness and complexity without aggressive bitterness. It is a great choice for experienced tea drinkers who value balance, natural energy and meditative clarity.
The infusion is amber-golden. The taste is mature, with notes of bark, stone, wild grass, light sweetness and bitterness. The aroma is delicate, with wood, book dust, dried fruits. The aftertaste is persistent, warming, velvety.
