Shen Pu'er "Bulanshan Gu Shu" (布朗山古树) is a green pu'er made from pure raw materials from old trees in Bulan Mountain (布朗山), Menghai County, Yunnan. Pressed into a classic pancake weighing 357g, it is created by Lancang Ancient Tea Co., a factory specializing in ecological cultivation and hand-processing of tea.
Bulanshan is a region where ancient tea trees (gu shu) grow, producing tea with a characteristically powerful flavor, dense astringency, and a long, sweet aftertaste. This tea is characterized by a pronounced character and tangible energy that is revealed from the first pours.
The infusion is amber, transparent. The taste is strong, tart, with a slight bitterness that turns into sweetness. There are notes of camphor, wild bark, herbs and wildflowers. The aftertaste is clean, long-lasting. The tea is especially good in gongfu cups or when aged.

How to brew this shen:
Gongfu method:
- 5–6 g of tea per 100 ml

- Infuse for 3–4 minutes at a temperature of 90–95°C.
