Red tea Golden Mao Feng

Golden Mao Feng (金毛峰, Jin Mao Feng) is a fine red tea from Anhui or Yunnan provinces, made from early spring buds and the first young leaves, rolled into thin needles. Due to the high content of golden tips (hairy tea buds), the tea has a soft, malty flavor with warm notes of honey, caramel, apricot and dried fruit.

The infusion is clear, amber-golden, the aroma is sweet, with a slight floral touch and a hint of baking. This is a tea with a mild character, without bitterness, ideal for both a morning wake-up call and a cozy evening.

How to brew Golden Mao Feng?

European method:

1. 1–2 hours l. for 300–350 ml of water
2. Temperature — 90–95°C
3. Infuse for 2–3 minutes
4. Can be brewed 2–3 times

Chinese method (gongfu cha):

1. 4–5 g per 100 ml in gaiwan
2. Rinse with hot water (2–3 seconds)
3. Brew at 90–95°C in short bursts (10–20 seconds)
4. Up to 6–8 streams
