Pettiagala Black Tea

Pettyagala is a classic black tea from the high mountain plantations of Sri Lanka, striking in its purity, richness and light floral-fruity aftertaste. It is grown in the Uva province, at an altitude of over 1200 meters, which guarantees exquisite quality and bright aroma.

This tea has a dense, balanced taste with a noble tartness and malty notes. The aroma is deep, with honey and woody nuances. The infusion is rich amber, shiny.

Origin and features

Pettyagala tea comes from the eponymous factory in central Sri Lanka. In this region, the climatic conditions - foggy mornings, cool days and abundant rains - contribute to the slow ripening of the tea leaves, thanks to which the tea acquires a rich taste and aroma without foreign additives.
