Black tea Vittanakanda

Wittanakanda is a premium black tea from the highlands of Sri Lanka, distinguished by its delicate aroma, rich taste and clean finish. It is made from young leaves hand-picked on Wittanakanda plantations located at an altitude of over 1000 m above sea level.

The taste is velvety, deep, with a subtle bitterness and floral notes. The aroma is warm, tart, with dried fruit nuances. The infusion is rich amber, bright and transparent.

Origin of Vittanakanda tea

The Wittanakanda Tea Factory is located in the Sabaragamuwa Province, one of the oldest regions for growing Ceylon tea. The high mountain climate, clean air and misty mornings give the tea a refined aroma and moderate astringency. This variety is considered a classic of "orthodox" Ceylon tea.

How to brew

1. 1 tsp. tea per 250 ml of water
2. Water temperature — 90–95°C
