Kenya Chinga FOP is a classic black tea from the plantations of Nyeri County, characterized by a characteristic tartness, dense body of the infusion and a pleasant aroma of wild African nature. The designation FOP (Flowery Orange Pekoe) indicates a selected leaf containing tips - the young upper buds of the tea bush.

The taste is rich, with pronounced tartness, notes of wood and dried fruits. The aroma is dense, with a slight smokiness and natural freshness. The infusion is dark ruby, transparent.

The history of Kenyan tea

Although Kenya is not the birthplace of tea, since the early 20th century the country has become one of the largest producers of black tea in the world. Thanks to its high altitude climate and volcanic soils, Kenyan tea has developed a distinctive taste and has become popular in English-style blends.
