Products made of Yixing clay were produced in the song dynasty (the turn of the I – II millennia ad), and already during the Ming dynasty (XIV-XVII century), the production of Yixing ceramics reached its peak. Dishes made from Yixing clay are made in a special way – the material is formed from several layers, then fired at 1100-1200°C, so that the products acquire high strength and stylish appearance.
