How to brew Dian Hong:
Chinese method (gongfu cha):
- Take 5–6 g of tea per 100–120 ml of gaiwan or teapot.
- Water temperature is 90–95°C.
- First flush — 3–5 seconds (rinsing).
- Then pour in 10–30 second bursts. Lasts up to 6–8 brews.
European method:
- Take 3–4 g of tea per 250 ml of water.
- Fill with 95°C water.
- Insist for 2.5–3 minutes.
- Can be brewed up to 2–3 times.
