Interesting, unique, rare… The infusion is transparent, amber, rich. The taste is amazing, creamy and milky. It looks like it was actually filled with milk… The aroma is velvety, with notes of honey, chocolate, milk, caramel…
All of these properties conform to the Chinese natural drink is the red milk tea. His personality is really exclusive. Gourmets believe that this variety should be tried at least out of curiosity. For some, it will seem specific and not worthy of attention. But if you look at the reviews, we can say with confidence: the real original from China has found its fans in Ukraine, and quite a few.
Among the red large-leaf Chinese teas, "milk" is rarely found. This is a privilege of the Oolong. Milk red tea (Nai Xiang Hong Cha) is one of the most popular artificially flavored teas outside of China, namely, in Ukraine. "Nai Xiang" translates as "milk". The essence of creating a variety is to push the natural aroma and taste of red tea to the background, getting on its basis a milky taste, sweet aftertaste and caramel flavor. Connoisseurs of natural teas from the middle Kingdom understand that for flavoring, not the highest grade of raw materials is taken, so the price for this type is much less, compared to elite types. Although the milk notes can be achieved not by artificial flavoring, but by special steam treatment using whey at one of the production stages. Such parties are also found in our country, but quite rarely. They can be determined by not too strong milk taste and creamy caramel flavor. Artificial flavoring, achieved by emulsions, gives a more pronounced effect.
According to gourmets, milk red tea is unlikely to interest sophisticated tastes that prefer thin, delicate drinks. To a greater extent, it becomes revered for lovers of fruit drinks, who prefer to enjoy a sweet aftertaste.
Red milk tea grows in the famous Yunnan province, which is famous for its ideal climatic conditions for growing fleshy tea leaves filled with numerous useful properties (vitamins, polyphenols, trace elements and other organic compounds). The mountain climate with constant fogs allows you to grow a truly eco-friendly product.
Adult leaves are collected only from adult bushes. Subsequently, the raw material is fermented and dried (by 50%). This allows the tea leaf not to lose a significant amount of trace elements.
What is useful about milk red tea?
How to brew?
Dry raw materials can be brewed from 6 to 11 times. It all depends on the quality of the product. Initially, you should pay attention to the quality of water – it should be soft, purified. The temperature should not exceed 90-95°C. For a porcelain, glass teapot with a volume of 450 ml, 5 grams of dry welding is enough. The first infusion time is 40-60 seconds. With subsequent brews, it increases to 3 minutes (but no more).
