Imperial Da Hong Pao is a premium variety of the legendary oolong from the Wuishan Mountains, considered the standard of dark oolongs in China. This tea is made from high-quality raw materials collected from first or second generation bushes, which gives the drink a special depth of taste and sophistication of aroma. It is this oolong that was traditionally given to Chinese emperors.
Its taste is rich, velvety, with notes of baked fruit, wood, dried fruit and light chocolate. The aroma is deep, mineral-smoky, with hints of caramel, nuts and citrus peel. The infusion is dark amber, dense, velvety.
Origin and production
The tea is grown in the Wuishan Reserve, where the rocky soil and misty climate create the ideal conditions for the development of the characteristic "Wuish" flavor (bright minerality). Da Hong Pao Imperial is hand-made using traditional methods - including natural drying, twisting, fermentation and multiple charcoal roasting.

How to brew Imperial Da Hong Pao?
Gongfu Cha:
- 5–6 g of tea per 100 ml of gaiwan or teapot
- Flushing — 2 seconds to wake up the leaf
- Water 95–98°C, straits for 10–25 seconds
- Up to 8–9 brews — the taste is revealed gradually
European method:
- 1 hour l. for 300–350 ml + 1 spoon per teapot
- Water temperature — 95°C
- Insist for 2–3 minutes
- Suitable for 2–3 infusions
