Dian Hong Mao Feng Fengqing Red Tea (Red Tea from the Land of Dian)
Dian Hong Mao Feng Fengqing (滇红毛峰) is a classic black tea from Yunnan Province, crafted using the traditional Fengqing Dianhong Mao Feng technique. The raw material for this tea was harvested in spring, in March, from old tea trees growing in mountain gardens at an altitude of about 1800 meters. Made from large-leaf Yunnan tea bushes, this variety combines the tenderness of young leaves with the depth and warmth of mature black tea flavor.

Origin and Raw Material
Produced from large-leaf tea from Yunnan — a region famous for its unique mountain climate and clean air. The leaves are fully fermented into black tea, preserving their natural aroma and smooth character. Fengqing County (凤庆) is considered the birthplace of Dianhong — since the 1930s, it has been producing some of China’s most renowned red (black) teas.
History of the Fengqing Region
Fengqing County, located in Yunnan Province, has over a thousand years of tea-making history. It was here, in 1939, that the first industrial black tea of China — Dianhong — was produced. With high-altitude plantations (1200–1800 m), fertile soils, and misty weather, local tea absorbs the pure energy of “sunlight and clouds” (日照云雾). Fengqing Dianhong is prized worldwide for its depth of flavor, bright amber liquor, and malty-sweet aroma with a gentle honey note.
Taste and Aroma
Dian Hong Mao Feng offers a warm amber-copper infusion with a mild, well-balanced taste. Its profile reveals honey-malty sweetness, light woody tones, and a naturally soft sweetness. The tea has no bitterness and is perfect for daily brewing. The aftertaste is long and pleasant, with hints of cocoa, dried fruits, and sweet honey.

Health Benefits
Fengqing Dian Hong is not only aromatic but also beneficial for health. The young stems and leaves are rich in polyphenols and essential oils with antioxidant properties. Regular consumption may help regulate blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, and improve circulation. Thanks to its tannin content, Dian Hong supports digestion and may ease gastritis or other stomach issues. It also promotes metabolism and can assist in weight management. Natural fluorides in black tea help strengthen teeth and maintain oral health. After a cup of Dian Hong, you may feel a gentle boost in mental and physical energy — a natural uplift without caffeine anxiety.
