Ripe Pu-erh Tea “Return of Hong Kong” is a vintage shu pu-erh made from spring 1997 leaf material and pressed into cake form in 2009. Created to commemorate Hong Kong’s return to China, this aged pu-erh offers depth, smoothness and refined maturity sought after by collectors and experienced tea drinkers.
The blend uses high-mountain spring leaves grown above 1500 meters, resulting in a clean, rounded profile without harsh earthy notes often found in younger ripe pu-erh teas.
Taste Profile
Rich, thick and layered body with notes of aged wood bark, semi-dried black plum, subtle citrus brightness and a gently sweet minty aftertaste. The liquor is dark, dense and smooth, with a long, elegant finish.
